We’re back with another delectable pinot noir from Roger Roessler – a long-time restaurateur who turned 40 years of running restaurants (including Sonoma Square’s historic Swiss Hotel) into a passion project to make incredible pinot noir. For nearly two decades, he’s done just that – small lots, incredible vineyards, stylish and polished wines…this Red Birds pinot noir from the Sonoma Coast was one of our favorites, and you’re gonna love it at this spectacular price!

Under $23 for fantastic Sonoma Coast pinot noir is a treat – and this gorgeously aromatic and expressive wine defies all expectations for quality at our insane price! Rose petals, and peonies, with black cherry, and cedar – all accented with pie crust, cinnamon, and warm terracotta clay notes. A nicely complex balance of spice, fruit, and silky oak, this is a perfect candidate for drinking both now, and in the next 3-5 years!

Roger is perhaps best known for his Black Pine pinot noir – a long-standing favorite that blended lots from hand-picked sites across Sonoma’s Petaluma Gap, Russian River, and Sonoma Coast AVAs. It was an entry-level smash hit always over-delivering quality and value. He’s since shifted his focus to smaller lots, and individual expressions of selected terroirs throughout the coastal vineyards of Northern California.
