This hails from 4 blocks of a single site on the Napa side of the cool and wind-swept Los Carneros AVA. All Wente clone fruit, barrel fermented and aged, in 60% new French oak, no less – with plenty of stirring on the lees to give you that ultra-luxurious, creamy texture that just won’t quit!

Loads of bright orchard fruits – with Granny Smith apples, Bartlett pears, golden apricots, followed by indulgent lemon meringue, toasted almonds, and even crème brûlée – this is a meal in itself – though it would not be amiss to have this with some crab cakes with a lemon aioli...just saying. Plenty of uplifting acidity and overall structure make this a chardonnay that will continue to impress and develop exceptionally over the next decade!
