Pulenta La Flor Cabernet Sauvignon Mendoza 2018
Cabernet Blends | Argentina
Typically, you’d get a wine well over $100 dollars. BUT...NOT...TODAY! Paul Hobbs, winemaker extraordinaire, has been building the global recognition of South American wines for decades. The Pulenta family settled in Argentina in the early 1900s and have been in the wine game ever since. How is this much pedigree at this infinitesimally small price even possible? Good question!
This wine is delicious – aromas of spiced red peppers and roasted herbs meet with rich, ripe plums, silky milk chocolate and a finish of sweet, pipe tobacco and toasted black peppercorns. For under $8 a bottle? I still can’t believe it. That’s less than the price of a burger and fries… which, coincidentally, you should totally have with this wine.
