Pulenta La Flor Cabernet Sauvignon Mendoza 2018
Cabernet Blends | Argentina
What do you get when you pair one of the greatest winemakers ever with a vintner family with over 100 years of experience and a reputation for crafting some of the best wines in the region?
Typically, you’d get a wine well over $100 dollars. BUT...NOT...TODAY! 93 POINT cabernet sauvignon, my friends, from the one and only Paul Hobbs, winemaker extraordinaire – all for only $9.95?! Paul Hobbs has been building the global recognition of South American wines for decades, while the Pulenta family settled in Argentina back in the early 1900s and has been in the wine game ever since… their partnership has been an explosion of top quality wines at incredible prices, and this 2018 cabernet sauvignon is simply fantastic!
This wine is unreal delicious – aromas of spiced red peppers and roasted herbs meet with rich, ripe plums, silky milk chocolate, and a finish of sweet pipe tobacco and toasted black peppercorns. For under $10 a bottle? I still can’t believe it. That’s less than the price of a burger and fries…which, coincidentally, you should totally have with this wine. This is to be bought in quantity and opened as often as humanly possible for the next several years. Get more than you think – deals like this are rare enough – even here at Invino!!!
