Esterlina and Everett Ridge Vineyards: two California wineries and one family with an undying devotion to winemaking. "The wines have been served at the White House on more than one occasion and can be found in restaurants like Jean-Georges Vongerichten's Prime Steakhouse at the Bellagio in Las Vegas," writes the Wall Street Journal.

Well, not any more.

Until just over a month ago, Esterlina along with the Everett Ridge Winery outside of Healdsburg were under the auspices of four brothers in the Sterling clan, a group of dedicated vintners and the sons of visionary Murio Sterling. Over the last 15+ years, the Sterlings have dedicated themselves to the art of estate-grown winemaking, they were also one of the country's only African American-owned estates.

At Esterlina, the Sterling family made history--they also made incredible cult wines from estate vineyards in California's most cherished appellations. Esterlina sourced their wines from a range of California's American Viticultural Areas, including the smallest AVA in the country: Cole Ranch. In fact, the Sterlings purchased the entire Cole Ranch appellation, making this AVA America's only true monopole! As the winery established itself, the points came rolling in. The first release of Esterlina's Cole Ranch Pinot Noir earned a 94-point score from the Wine Spectator. The first two Esterlina entries into the prestigious San Francisco Chronicle Wine Competition (an Anderson Valley Pinot and an estate-grown Riesling) both took home gold.

Esterlina and Everett Ridge were sold in June 2016--leaving the last vintages from this historic estate in flux. Fans of Esterlina (and there are MANY) are sorry to see the Sterlings go. Fortunately our Members now have an incredible and incredibly exclusive opportunity to drink the last of the Sterling family's releases, offered only here and only while supplies of these unique, family-made beauties last.
