Made entirely from estate-grown Chardonnay, this blanc de blancs is heady and intense with ample mousse and body. Green-apple Jolly Rancher flavor meets steely acidity that takes on a tone of wet stone and a focused structure, with a lasting impression of pineapple upside-down cake and crème brûlée.

This is a great showing from Domaine Carneros. The aromatics are fabulous: pear, lime and anise, with toasty honey. Juicy and precise, offering orchard fruit flavors. Dusty and closes on a zippy, dry note, with very good clarity and spiciness.

This is the essence of grace and stylish complexity, with Asian pear, fresh ginger and crème brûlée flavors that effortlessly layer into a crisp and opulent texture.

Le Rêve is a highly respected tête de cuvée - Domaine Carneros' finest Sparkling wine and frequently named America’s Best Sparkling. French for “the dream,” Le Rêve is crafted from 100% estate-grown Chardonnay, making it a pure expression of Domaine Carneros.

Inspired by Champagne Taittinger’s Comtes de Champagne, yet its own reflection of its Carneros terroir, the luxury tête-de-cuvée Le Rêve is crafted from five organically grown estate clones of Chardonnay. The wine is made using the traditional method of Champagne, and is aged in the bottle a tremendous five to six years sur lie before release.

From the Winery: During the 2011 growing season we experienced frost in the vineyard and ended the season with a very cool summer, resulting in a reduced crop size. This intensely flavorful cuvee is something of a late bloomer as most great wines are, so consider aging this Le Rêve a little longer than usual.

A perfect Le Rêve with lovely notes of white flowers, Meyer lemon, quince, pear and a hint of pineapple with a toasty to slightly smoky aroma. The palate opens up to honeysuckle and crème brûlée. The full mouthfeel leads to a very round and long finish. Delicious now, but there will be additional flavor benefits for those who can wait.

Founded by the noble family behind Champagne Taittinger, Claude Taittinger's search for a worthy U.S. counterpart began in the late 1970s. In 1987 he selected a 138-acre parcel in the heart of Carneros, Napa Valley. Wisely selecting Eileen Crane to oversee the development of the winery and vineyards, the team created the quintessential California expression of the Taittinger style in Carneros.

The heart of Domaine Carneros has always been sparkling wines, with distinctive styles ranging from the classic vintage-dated Brut cuvée to our luxury Le Rêve Blanc de Blancs. Domaine Carneros farms 5 ranches in the Carneros AVA, and all of them are within 4 miles of the Chateau. The Estate Vineyards now total 350 acres, 225 acres devoted to Pinot noir and 125 acres planted with Chardonnay.

As with many great wines, 2011 Le Rêve has been crafted to be long-lived and will continue to evolve for decades in the cellar. An inspired selection for the most memorable occasions, savor the wine on its own, pair it with fresh crab, lobster, scallops, fish or poultry, or with artisanal goat, double- or triple-cream cheeses.
