REVIEWS

A stellar example of New Zealand Sauv Blanc, I was very excited to get this into our lineup. Bright lemon grass and limestone on the nose. Chalky minerality and acidic on the palate, showing green melon, kiwi and lime zest. Fresh on the market, this wine will drink well through at least 2020. 92 Points - JZ Oct '18

THE STORY TO KNOW

Cook Strait, named after Captain James Cook, the first European commander to sail through it, in 1770, lies between the north and south islands of New Zealand, and is considered to be one of the most dangerous waters in the world.

Machine harvested, then pressed to tanks to settle overnight. The clear juice was racked to stainless steel tanks and fermented with a range of yeasts to enhance fruit aromatics and palate weight. Blended at the end of winter and bottled after a few months’ resting on light lees.
