Very Good - Wine Enthusiast
Ok, this is our sourcing teams favorite daily drinker. Methode champenoise, made from burgundy pinot noir grapes into a dry rose. This fine wine is produced to enable excess, this is what our staff drinks while hot tubbing, while at the pacific coast eating oysters and generally when we want a lifted feeling. These JCB cremants are our party favorites. Pale pink in the glass, the wine has rose hips and saline on the nose. Fine grain bubbles speak to the quality of winemaking; good fruit core unpacks as the essence of black cherry evaporates on the palate. Drink now, often, and heavily with friends. -WB 5/17
100% Pinot Noir
A JCB favorite, this Gold medal winner is as unique as its Boisset roots that bring the best of both sides of the Atlantic Ocean together. Pure Pinot Noir, it's lustrous pink, dry yet fruity, and with so many bubbles, it’s a super-charged sipper for everyday enjoyment.
Why we love this wine:
- 100% Pinot Noir. A Burgundian treat, this Sparkling Rose is created solely from Pinot Noir. Our Members who are Brut fans are sure to be impressed.
- An intriguing complement. Our Tasting Panel encourages the enjoyment of this Sparkler not only on its own, but as a sound choice with warm-weather desserts. Dare we say its powerful aromas and touch of freshness made us crave a perfectly paired ice cream.
- A passion for Pinot. Burgundy native and Sonoma transplant Jean-Charles Boisset has more love for Pinot Noir than perhaps anyone we have ever met. The pure expression you experience from this bottle is unequivocally the brightest Cremant de Bourgogne.
- Why 69? It’s the year Jean-Charles Boisset was born. It’s the year mankind went to the moon. It’s transparently seductive. And JCB himself calls this wine “the best of what masculinity and femininity can combine...this is sensual. This is flamboyant. This is emotional. And the beauty of this wine, which I love about it, this is romantic.”
Number 69 is a seductively light and refreshing rosé. Vibrant aromas of raspberry and red currant evolve into aromatic jammy notes. This wine is tender in the mouth with crisp flavors.
Jean-Charles Boisset, the visionary behind JCB, is fervently passionate about Pinot Noir and Chardonnay from both his native Burgundy as well as from Sonoma County, where he owns DeLoach Vineyards. JCB wines are crafted to express a style that embodies only the finest characteristics of Pinot Noir and Chardonnay from both sides of the Atlantic Ocean. Backed by centuries of tradition, our wines speak for themselves. To taste them is to discover what happens when terroir, talent, and vision come together.
"What if we could capture style and hold it in the bottle, along with all of its heritage, treasures and promises? What if that uncompromising personality - audacious, unique, mysterious, passionate, subtle - was revealed from one bottle to another by a distinct number, until it was all held in a limited collection of wines? A collection of rare numbered edition wines, composed by Jean-Charles Boisset, stemming from centuries of Burgundian family tradition combined with the graceful exploration of sophisticated terroir where elegance, delicacy, refinement and finesse can be discovered. A way of reinventing time and celebrating style that goes beyond fashion: This is the spirit of JCB."
