91pts Vinous: (made from vines that were reportedly planted in 1910) Green-tinged gold. High-pitched aromas of citrus zest, jasmine and quinine carry a chalky mineral overtone. Dry and linear on the palate, offering tangy lime pith and green apple flavors and a deeper peach note that appears in the midpalate. Shows very good clarity and mineral lift on the incisive finish, which leaves behind bitter citrus pith and succulent herb notes.

90pts Wine Advocate: Another year or two should see the adolescent 2015 Enchanted Garden of the Eden Valley Riesling come into its own. It's got the raw materials of a top vineyard site in an excellent Riesling vintage, but this medium-bodied wine is caught between vibrant zestiness and the honeyed mellowing of time. Lemon-lime notes cling to youth, while marmalade and beeswax have yet to fully arrive. 90+ points.

San Francisco Wine Competition 2015: Gold Medal 90 Points

Canberra International Riesling Challenge: Silver 90 Points

Gold medal at the ever-reliable San Francisco International Wine Show: The somewhat reticent bouquet sets the scene for a wine still in its infancy, citrus and apple background noise at this stage; good acidity point to more of everything in 5+ years.

From the Winery: Dandelion Vineyards is a unique fusion of vineyards and vignerons. Our wines represent decades of experience, blending the fruit of our heirloom vineyards with the finest traditions of artisan winemaking. Dandelion Vineyards is a combination of old vineyards, a young winemaker, and a couple of mates to help out in-between, which we believe makes for the ideal winery.

Our vineyards are our family, their wines our children.  Serious stuff, certainly. Proper fun, absolutely. The lifelong search to appreciate and understand the essence of wine, its terroir, leads us on a vinous treasure hunt, following the Dandelion's Wishing Clock if you will, that always inspires.

The "Enchanted Garden" was planted in 1910 and thrives to this day, a 7 acre Eden Valley Vine Garden lovingly tended by Sue and Stuart Woodman. Whole bunches were hand picked on the 17th of March then de-stemmed without crushing the fruit to fill the press exactly.

With classic Riesling aromatics of citrus zest, lemon foliage and hints of dragon fruit flowers, etched by a clear steely minerality this wine holds the promise of a future, well-cellared bouquet of honey, caraway and rye. With a palate weight that is all fresh rain water, this is an attractively textural Riesling displaying the variety’s intense purity. Bone dry, its structure and length is underpinned by austere acidity.
