“This is a really solid red with crushed blackberry and blueberry character, as well as flowers and light spices. Full bodied, tight and focused. The tannin polish is so impressive. Love the non-vintage concept of this Bordeaux blend. It's all about wonderful drinkability.”

“An absolutist blend in which Alandes Paradoux combines vintages, regions and grapes. The base is formed by the Uco Valley with equal parts Merlot, Cabernet Sauvignon, Cabernet Franc, Malbec and Petit Verdot. A classic, Bordeaux-style red that Karim Mussi described as “Blue blazer, white shirt and moccasins.” The fragrant nose features black currant, mint and red currant, while the palate offers moderate intensity, fine notes from the aging process, soft tannins and a solid structure that flows smoothly over the tongue.”

“The new bottling of the Bordeaux red blend NV Paradoux Blend 5ème Édition is a multi-varietal mix of 20% each Cabernet Sauvignon, Cabernet Franc, Petit Verdot, Merlot and Malbec from different zones within the Valle de Uco from the 2016 and 2017 vintages. All the wines are kept separate and blended to create the final lot. It has a harmonious and compact nose, with good complexity, a mix of floral and berry aromas and just a spicy touch from the élevage of 12 months in barrique. It has a medium-bodied palate with fine-grained tannins and a serious, dry and balanced mouthfeel. 3,372 bottles were filled in September 2018.”
Ready for your epiphany? This is simply one of the greatest values for dead-serious, classy Bordeaux-styled blends we have EVER tasted. Yes, it’s that good!
Normally $32! Alandes is quickly becoming one of the most sought-after producers on earth, making incredible wines at jaw-droppingly great (for now!) prices. I would happily put this up against a HECK of a lot of similar blends from Napa or Bordeaux at 2-3-4 times the price, no joke. Beautiful balance, integration, silkiness, and a general feel of world-class winemaking. But hey, the critics agree, take a look at these words! Only 3300 bottles made!
TRUST YOUR WINE MERCHANT! $21 is OUT-rageous! While it lasts!
