When visiting Baja, Mexico Sommeliers Chris Miller (Master Sommelier), Taylor Grant, and Conner Mitchell had a few too many servings of Mezcal and stumbled into Casa Magoni, an obscure family owned vineyard and winery in the hills of the Valle de Guadalupe. There they met owner Camillo Magoni whos family has a long history of grape growing and winemaking dating back to the early 1900's and 10,000 miles away in the picturesque hills of northern Italy where his grandfather owned vineyards.  In the mid-1980's, Camillo brought Mexico's first Italian vines to Baja, among them native varieties like Nebbiolo and Grignolino.

After tasting Magoni's wines, Chris, a seasoned winemaker (Seabold Cellars) the vision for Tresomm was born, alongside Camillo who was a pioneer in the Mexican wine industry.

TASTING NOTES

Grignolino is a red grape originating in the Piedmont region of northern Italy, known for making lightly colored red wines and rosés with fresh, fruity, floral aromas and sturdy tannins and acidity. Meant for daily drinking this rosé is medium-bodied with enough structure and versatility to compliment a variety of cuisines, but with lots of fruit and freshness to make it super enjoyable on its own or as an aperitif.
