A family-owned estate since 1961, Séailles is now run by Jean Labérenne, who lead the domaine to Ecocert organic certification in 1997, swearing off all chemical fertilizers, herbicides, insecticides, and synthetic chemical products. Domaine Séailles is one of the pioneers of organic viticulture in the Côtes de Gascogne region of Southwest France.

Located in the town of Ténarèze, which is unique in the region for its limestone soils, Jean farms a total of 25 hectares of hillside vineyards with help the of Julien Lanclet and Laurent Lefèvre, even saving 2 hectares of vines to make the traditional spirit of the region, Armagnac.

TASTING NOTES

The Presto is light, bright and fresh, perfect with seafood, salads, or light dishes.

The Domaine Séailles Presto is made from 50% Sauvignon Blanc, 50% Sauvignon Gris from organic grapes. The vines are between 7-14 years of age and grown on 4 hectares on a south/southwest hillside facing the Pyrénées. All grapes are destemmed and fermented and aged in stainless steel tanks for 6 months.
