The Wine Advocate - "R.L. Buller & Son was founded in 1921 by the grandfather of Andrew Buller, the current winemaker. The winery remains one of the benchmarks in the production of fortified sweet wines from the warm terroir of Rutherglen. "

Wine Enthusiast - "Bullers entry-level Muscat blend sourced from inside and outside Rutherglen itself is a terrific value. It's perfumed yet full bodied and rich, with sweet notes of golden raisins and dried figs, as well as darker hints of dates and molasses. "

Rutherglen region of Victoria is hands down the finest region for Australia's "Stickies" category and RL Buller has been and still is one of the finest producers of Muscats and Tokay Pinot Gris.

Fans of Sherries and Madiera will be amazed of the quality especially for the price. It's rare to find sweet wines that are price under $16.00 with consistently great press. i.e. Dual 91 pointers from WA and WE.

The way the wine is made allows for it to keep very well once it is opened and it will pair with a great range of desserts and cheeses.

Winemaker's Notes
Mid-reddish brown to amber at the rim. Aromatic raisiny/floral scents/hint of spirit. Initial sweetness and raisiny flavours linger to reveal complex hints of honey and lemons. Some rancio character. Underlying structure of tannin and well-integrated spirit. Finish is long and the honeyed flavours return and linger.

Muscat can be an interesting match for a range of fruit desserts and puddings; also good with soft, ripe blue cheeses and nuts.

Ready for immediate consumption.
