How would you like to enjoy some stunning, über fresh and lively Grüner Veltliner from a female-owned and operated winery in the very hip and cool Pulkau region of Austria? If we told you it’s 50% off would that help nudge you to Add to Cart?

Hiller is probably one of our favorite producers making tantalizingly pure and clean GV that is easy to drink (probably too easy!) and enjoy alongside some yummy, notoriously difficult to pair artichokes. Zippy and tart is the name of the game with this delightful white with notes of green apple, crisp Asian pear, roasted nuts and gingerbread spice with just a hint of tropical fruit. It’s just so dang lovely, we’re surprised it’s still in stock! Get it while you can.

TASTING NOTES

THE STORY TO KNOW

Since 1858, there has been a noteworthy tradition of winemaking in Groß-Reipersdorf near Pulkau. Nowadays, there are two generations at work. Simone Jordan is responsible for winemaking, along with her parents Karl and Anni Jordan, and a passion, love and avid fascination are top priority. It is no longer uncommon for a woman to run her own wine estate in what is regarded as a male dominated branch. From 2010, Simone Jordan led her family wine estate into the next generation, taking over from her parents. You can feel that there is a well attuned team behind the wines.
