Wow! Normally $35, this came across our tasting bar last week and knocked our socks off. This one had the staff arm wrestling for the rest of the bottle! FREE SHIPPING on 4!
From the excellent 2016 vintage, “entry-level” white Burgundy does not get much better than this. A must if you love to drink chard on the regular, or need something to sip on while your $200 Burgs rest in the cellar. $22! Amazing!
This is a family-run domaine, founded by Emille Juillot, and now run by his granddaughter, Nathalie. The family have been living in Mercurey for almost 120 years. Jean-Claude developed its vineyards which encompass six Premier Crus. The viticultural practices were converted to sustainable in 2004 in order to improve the quality of the wines, as well as the environment.
"The Theulots’ “entry level” wines are made with the same care as the premiers crus but from more modest terroirs. Nathalie Theulot’s name appears on the label of this cuvée, which comes from a vineyard she owns." - Winewise
It is a perfect introduction to white Burgundy – modestly proportioned but brimming with that archetypal spiced apple, toasted hazelnuts, and lemon curd. Good length and incredible freshness, too -- just a steal at our price today! Extremely rare to see this bottling in the states! While it lasts!
