Bryant Framily’s Thorevilos Vineyard, on the eastern hills of the St. Helena AVA boasts volcanic soils with tufa rock, and the site if famous for produce juice with exceptional minerality and character. Bryant’s Lucia Howell Mountain vineyard features Aiken volcanic material with rhyolite pebbles, both of which provide excellent drainage. The climate is atypically cool—much more like Bordeaux than most parts of the Napa Valley, and the sun exposure is ideal for the ripening of elegant, aromatic Bordeaux varietals.

The first vintage of Bryant Family Cabernet was released in 1992, and soon after the wine from this premium estate won critical acclaim and became internationally recognized as one of the best Cabernets on the planet.

Bryan Family’s Bettina is named after the estate’s president Bettina Bryant, who is not only the wife of proprietor Don Bryant but a formidable partner in all matters and the underlying force behind this great winery’s winemaking philosophy.

TASTING NOTES 

This Cabernet Sauvignon is a dark, rich full-bodied wine with great tannic structure and mouth-feel. It has a garnet color and a nose of ripe boysenberries, cherry liqueur, dark chocolate, sandalwood and a hint of roasting meat. On the palate, it is mouth-coating and incredibly rich in umami. It has a very long, savory finish with the slight grip of fine-grained tannins. Given proper cellaring, this wine should give drinking pleasure through 2030.
