 Oregon is Oregon may be most closely associated with Pinot Noir, but American is most closely associated with Cabernet Sauvignon, which is by far the most popular varietal of red wine grown in the nation.  Jeff and Sharon Silva, owners and proprietors of Arcane Cellars in the Willamette Valley, have taken care to ensure that Cab Sauv thrives in Oregon just as well the state’s beloved Pinot Noir.

This ambition has become characteristic of the Arcane Cellars MO: along with their son Jason and daughter-in-law Sonja, the team has gone above and beyond in the pursuit of their goal of growing the greatest number of varietals in the Willamette Valley.

  • Rogue Valley, Southern Oregon, is the fast becoming the New World hotspot for bolder French varietals like Cabernet Sauvignon.
  • The winemaking team are young entrepreneurs in Oregon, embracing new winemaking techniques that are matched only by their ambition to fashion the most diverse winery in the state.
  • Notes of black currant, plum, cherry, and spice are dominating the wine currently, and they are going to lend themselves perfectly to ageing, when they’ll transform into a palate of of Tobacco, cedar, milk chocolate, and ancho chili.
  • However, if you can’t wait that long, Summer is right around the corner, and the wine is perfect with grilling fair as it is right now.

From the winery:

We initially planted our vineyard in 2000. Our Federal winery license was granted in 2004 and we opened our winery to the public in May of 2007.

We offer a wide selection of the red and white varieties that grow throughout the
