"The 2013 Cabernet Sauvignon Generations is a wine that comes from both St. Helena and Oakville and is 99% Cabernet Sauvignon, with the balance Petit Verdot. This beauty showcases how much Jean Charles Boisset has improved the quality of the Raymond wines. There are 2,112 cases of this wine, which has an inky purple color and a beautiful nose of licorice, toasty oak, blackberry, cassis, spice box and forest floor. The wine has great intensity, a full-bodied mouthfeel, terrific balance, and well-integrated acidity, tannin, alcohol and wood. It should drink well for 25-30+ years. " -Wine Advocate
"Lavishly oaked, exhibiting a strong mix of mocha, espresso and smoke notes. The fruit holds its own, with dense blueberry, blackberry, black licorice, tobacco leaf and savory roasted herb flavors, ending with a long, full, sustained aftertaste. Drink now through 2027."- Wine Spectator
"A well-structured red with subtle blueberry, blackberry and mineral aromas and flavors. Full body, firm and silky tannins and a fresh finish. Better in 2019 but very beautiful to taste now."- James Suckling
"Opulent and intense, the 2013 Cabernet Sauvignon Generations is quite powerful, with huge, inky fruit and searing tannins. This is an especially deep, extracted Cabernet, but it has also just been bottled. It will be interesting to see how the 2013 develops. Today, it is almost forbiddingly intense, yet there is plenty of stuffing lurking beneath."- Vinous / Antonio Galloni

Raymond Vineyards, one of the Napa Valley’s iconic, pioneering wineries, celebrated its first harvest in 1974. Five generations of the Raymond family imbued the winery with its deep roots, dating back to the earliest foundations of winegrowing in the Napa Valley. The original 90 acre estate in Rutherford has since expanded to over 300 acres throughout the Napa Valley while building a legacy of elegant wines with a beautiful balance of finesse, power and complexity. The commitment to maintaining this legacy of family roots and winery tradition is apparent in the Raymond Vineyards wines themselves.
Raymond has continued its tradition of family winemaking by becoming a part of the Boisset Family Estates collection of wineries in August 2009. An increased commitment to producing the highest quality Napa Cabernet resulted in the selection of new Cabernet Sauvignon vineyards, and in early 2010 organic farming methods were implemented in pursuit of eventually achieving organic certification for the estate vineyards, a hallmark of Boisset properties worldwide. To introduce guests to this environmentally friendly method of farming, a unique Theater of Nature has been created on the property, showcasing nature’s key role in the production of these iconic wines.
