Gritty, grippy and full of life, this full-bodied wine exhibits a generous swath of extracted cherry, plum and cedar flavor, with additional notes of graphite and oak. Well integrated and big-boned, it has structure and an underlying brightness that make it balanced and elegant within its size.

Deep garnet-purple colored, the 2015 Cabernet Sauvignon Oakville Reserve has a baked black cherries, black berries and wild blueberries-scented nose with hints of lavender, pencil shavings and earth plus a touch of cloves. The palate is full-bodied and bursting with black berry and earthy flavors, supported by soft, rounded tannins and finishing with a hint of pepper.
-- Robert Parker Wine Advocate

Plenty of burnt-orange character as well as some ripe stemminess, underbrush, licorice and tar. There's quite a lot of plum fruit on the palate, but the acidity lifts the full body and round, juicy tannins to the long finish. Drink in 2021.

The 2015 Cabernet Sauvignon Oakville Reserve is a blend of fruit from the Fortuna and Leopoldina (Weitz) vineyards. Supple, pliant and inviting, the Reserve is a gorgeous wine for drinking now and over the next handful of years. Succulent dark cherry, mocha, new leather, spice, menthol and dark spice add nuance to the voluptuous, racy finish. This is another striking wine from Turnbull. --James Suckling

This bottling is the pinnacle of what Oakville represents and tastes like each vintage. A barrel selection of the finest parcels of our estate vineyards, we craft this wine in a classic style, to speak to the truest expression of the place where we farm.

--Winemaker Peter Heitz

Turnbull focuses on small production expressions of Cabernet Sauvignon, sourced from four acclaimed estate vineyard sites throughout the Napa Valley. The wines are of exceptional quality and always speak to time and place.

Call us geeky. Obsessed. We believe in the time-honored tradition of making wine as it should be: honest and true, of place, and without compromise (or a lot of fuss). Each vintage we follow that endless pursuit to achieve the very best quality. This means putting the resources in the right place. We have a dedicated team in the cellar and vineyard year round who have an infinitely valuable level of knowledge and experience. We believe having a well-equipped cellar onsite not only keeps our process transparent, but also helps us make better wine.

True to the vibrant character of the 2015 vintage, the2015 Oakville Reserve returns with enthralling verve and freshness.

A dynamic opulence of dark fruit expression thrills the olfactory sense to reveal a taut, widening plane of lifted red fruit on the palate. Bewitching dark blue fruit tones drive an energetic, but focused depth and length through the finish.

From the Winery: We have been rooted in the culture and history of the Napa Valley for nearly 40 years. We are a small, multi-generational family business guided by the long view principle of sustainability so we can pass this legacy on to the next generation.

We are collectors who set out to procure some of the very best parcels of land in this esteemed valley to call our own. Being estate grown means we have a hand in every step of the grape growing and winemaking processes. It’s not always the case for everyone, and our team is a group of passion and pursuit-driven individuals who have come together around a shared commitment to supporting and preserving this somewhat rare opportunity.

We stand for exceptional, quality wine and a true Napa Valley wine experience, as it should be. We believe in the opportunity to pause, explore, and discover something new every day, and for us, wine should be no exception.

Turnbull. Stay true.
