93pts, Vinous
Turnbull's 2017 Cabernet Sauvignon (Napa Valley) is absolutely gorgeous. Ripe, bold and plummy, with bright floral overtones and succulent red berry and plum fruit, the 2017 is a positively stellar wine. Best of all, it is a screaming value by the standards of Napa Valley Cabernet. Is there a better Napa Valley Cabernet made from estate fruit for $50 a bottle? I doubt it.

92pts, Jeb Dunnuck
The base 2017 Cabernet Sauvignon Napa Valley sports a deep purple hue to go with a big, ripe nose of black fruits, scorched earth, crushed violets, and spring flowers. It has a core of firm tannins, the straight, focused style of the vintage, and a great finish. Cabernet at this price point can be dicey in 2017, but this is solid and well worth the money.

91pts, Wine Enthusiast
This producer continues to produce outstanding value for the quality in its wines, and this a shining example of the concept. Weighty, expansive tannins give in to a length of rich, rewarding blue and red fruit, the richness well tempered in acidity and a balanced use of oak.

91pts, James Suckling
A lovely red for the vintage with pure, currant and berry character, medium body, round and creamy tannins and a flavorful finish. Drink or hold.

For $50, this is incredible, but for you at $39, it’s roll around on the ground giggling uncontrollably and thanking yourself for being a wine-savvy Invino customer. Do you really need any more reasons to grab as much as you possible can right now?

We’ll let the critics do the talking on this one:

Big and ripe, bursting with black plums, blackberries, cassis and boysenberries with lovely floral notes of violets and herbs de Provence. Hints of red currants and bramble on the palate with hints of cigar box and sweet baking spice. Creamy tannins, balanced and basically just a killer wine for the price. If you read this far, but hurry because there’s unlikely to be much left!

THE STORY TO KNOW

Turnbull has been making wine of exceptional quality since 1979 in Oakville, with estate-grown fruit carefully tended to from the ground up through to the winery. Turnbull wines are crafted with integrity and without compromise. Our signature is a balanced wine of structure and depth, with an intensity of fruit and polished, elegant texture.

It starts with a painstaking process of vinifying lot by lot, tasting and evaluating each for specific attributes and characteristics. Like a complex puzzle, Winemaker Peter Heitz weaves together a narrative of place, chalking barrels one by one to the final blends. The wines elevate in 100% French Oak barrels and rest in bottle for an extended period before release. This bottling is a signature selection of individual barrels sourced from our estate vineyards in Oakville. Our winemaker crafts the blend by choosing lots that showcase dark, brooding, hedonistic characteristics, with dusty black fruits and an exotic floral lift. The barrels deliver wine of astounding purity and density.
