Four reasons:

·    Crémant is a sparkling wine made outside of Champagne but in the same, quality-conscious “méthode traditionnelle.” As in the fine wines of Champagne, Crémant de Loire bubblies undergo a secondary fermentation in the bottle, which creates a fine, elegant bead of tiny bubbles.
·    This bubbly come from Les Caves de la Loire, a super-significant cooperative in the Loire established in 1951.
·    Today, the winery includes 250 winemakers who produce premium wines from the classified appellations, special terroir, and excellent climatic conditions of the Loire Valley.
·    Few wine regions are as classically beautiful as France’s Loire Valley. The countryside is fondly regarded as the “garden of France” for its importance as a source for fruits, vegetables and outstanding wine grapes.

“Made by the same method as Champagne, French crémants are the latest buzz-grabbers in the expanding bubbly universe…Think of them as the underdogs of the French wine world, offering sophisticated Gallic flair without the Champagne price tag,” writes Bloomberg in 2018, adding: “The Loire is a veritable hotbed of crémant producers. Long ago, the fizz here was almost as famous as that of Champagne.”
Today, the most famous fizz is obviously from Champagne, which is just fine with us, as it leaves open a wealth of incredible bubbly from the Loire available at a price that is savory even to those of us who are not… ahem… wealthy!

Cuvée Platine, the brilliance of the Diamond and the know-how of the Loire. Crémant de Loire Platine comes from the main grape varieties of the Loire Valley harvested manually. It is elaborated according to the traditional method which consists of a second fermentation in bottles and an aging on slats of 12 months minimum.

It is a fine, refined and discreet wine that will be excellent as an aperitif but also at the end of the meal with dessert.
