Our panel was blown away by the quality in this bottle, special care was clearly given to the blend to enhance the natural acidity and bring out the soft red fruit.  The wine pours a luminous red and smells of ripe dark berries, tobacco leaf, rose petal and spiced cedar.  The palate is fresh and lively, bursting with cassis, black cherry and plum, with a dusting of baking spice and vanilla.  Enjoy now through 2024. - DZ Feb 2017

There are Bordeaux-inspired blends and then there is the Keiser label whose youthful BDX is all prestigious, all delicious and transpires from three Napa Valley sub-AVAs. This is a “solid wine” according to our Sourcing Team. And even we are incredibly shocked by the steep discount we are able to offer our Members.

2014 is a vintage proving itself as more than just hype as we experience superior quality and flavors that really pop on the palate. As the colorful, flavorful and all around high-quality harvest swept through Napa for the third year in a row, Consulting Winemaker Barry Singer was able to source some seriously amazing fruit. The final blend is composed of 50% Oak Knoll Cabernet Sauvignon, 36% St. Helena Cabernet Franc and 14% Carneros Merlot.

Reasons why we love it
If you recognize the name Barry Singer you are probably fans of the Singer Cellars label. It is on our radar as a winery to watch as Barry’s limited production wines are more than worthy of their growing reputation and multiple awards.

With his start as a cellar rat at Keller Estate Winery under the instruction of Winemaker Michael McNeill, Barry was able to start pursuing his dreams that transpired from his trips to France. It was during his time on the famous Right Bank of Bordeaux where he became fascinated with Cheval Blanc and the region’s other elite wine producers. It is no surprise he became a specialist in Bordeaux varietals of premium nature in Napa Valley making this BDX one of the best you will find in CA.

This vintage is no Sunday walk in the park. It is big, bold and complex. Our Tasting Panel was pleasantly shocked by how much is really going on in this wine. Plus, the mix of black and red fruit is so alluring we believe you will want to keep visiting this vintage time and time again. We certainly will be!

Brilliant ruby red hues. Mixed red berries, blackberry, red plum, dried violets, cedar, toasty oak and a hint of mocha. Spiced Bing cherry, red currant, cranberry, tart cherry juice, cedar, coffee bean and soft spice. Lingering finish.

From the Winery:

Our goal at Keiser Wine Co. it to make the wines you want to keep drinking, wines that show restraint and balance with bright acidity and a lack of fatiguing components like overdone oak, ripeness and alcohol.

We use traditional methods to craft limited-production wines. A combination of drive, experience, and deep knowledge of wine production shapes the wines from grape harvest to bottling.
