"Showing more herbal complexity and raspberry-like fruit, the 2019 Cotes du Rhone Villages Vieilles Vignes is a clear step up from the Côtes du Rhône bottling. It still shows ample concentration and a rich, velvety feel on the full-bodied palate, but also a sense of elegance and purity on the long, mouthwatering finish. Certified organic."
Back up the truck! Domaine la Milliere’s “old vines” is a CLASSIC! Better than ever in ‘19 and a STEAL at our price!!
Since the 1940s, this Rhone producer has been one of the most coveted properties in Chateauneuf-du-Pape (indeed, we call this “baby Chateauneuf”), but it’s really since the 90s that they started making their own super high-quality wines at jaw-droppingly excellent prices (especially today!!). This wine is STUFFED with savory blue and red fruits, plums, kirsch (cherry liqueur), anise, pepper and smoked meats, and impossibly easy to drink. WHAT an over deliverer!! Wow! Don’t miss!
Michel Arnaud took over in 1983, making him the 5th generation of Arnaud vinegrower-winemakers. Since then, Michel has continued to apply the knowledge handed down to him by his parents and grandparents. In his footsteps comes Vincent, his eldest son, who has just joined the estate. He continues the family history that has been at the heart of La Milliere for many decade. We are lucky indeed to be able to import some of this for you at this astounding price!
P.S. The 2019 has yet to be scored, but this wine always crushes it with the critics. Don’t wait for them, we only have 34 cases!
