Podere Le Boncie is a small but highly regarded estate in Tuscany, founded in the 1980s by Giovanni and Giovanna Morganti. Their daughter, Giovanna Morganti, trained under the legendary Giulio Gambelli, took over and has become one of the region’s most respected voices in natural, terroir-driven winemaking. Situated in Castelnuovo Berardenga, in the southern part of Chianti Classico, the estate is farmed organically and follows a minimalist approach in the cellar, letting the purity of Sangiovese shine through. Today, Le Boncie produces just a handful of wines, most famously “Le Trame,” which has become a cult classic for its elegance, authenticity, and faithful expression of place. With limited production and an uncompromising dedication to quality, the winery remains one of Tuscany’s most soulful and sought-after producers.
