Bordeaux Blends  |  US

JD93, JS90
SPECIAL: GROUND SHIPPING INCLUDED ON ORDERS OF 3 BOTTLES OR MORE!

Normally this red Bordeaux blend from Luna Vineyards retails for a worthy $90, and we were able to snag some for $39.95 a bottle – AND free shipping on 3+ bottles! For a 93-point, beautifully textured, silky, and powerful red from a powerhouse Napa Valley producer, this is practically unheard of! That’s 55% OFF the normal retail price! What a DAY!

We’re constantly singing the praises of Luna over here – and they continue to whack grand slam after grand slam with their ever-so-luscious wines, prestigious winemaking, and off-the-beaten-path critical darlings that reach star-level acclaim. Their Luna Adagio is just one of those all-stars that used to be reserved for their club members only for nearly $100 a go (which is a fair price for this flashy, ripe, remarkable red, in our humble opinion). Yet, we’ve been granted access to this crown jewel for UNDER $40 for just a short period of time! Those are some silly savings that don’t even make sense in our math-averse minds…but somehow, they’re making it work, and we’re more than happy to benefit from it and snag some of this for our own cellars. Oh, and of course save some for you, too!

The term “adagio” is a musical direction to play at a slower tempo, often before building to something more intense – and woo-ee, does this wine follow suit! Made of a base of 50% cabernet sauvignon, plus a lovely orchestra of merlot, malbec, cabernet franc, and petit verdot, it’s simply a masterpiece of dried flowers, homemade pie crust, and fragrant cigar box notes on the nose. Pure, tantalizing deliciousness! You’ll dive into a deep, dark potpourri of brooding black cherries, violets, fresh leather, and seductive cherry liqueur – plush with roundness and a touch of grippy tannin that’s just enough Napa cab to satisfy the cultiest fans, but enough added flair to remind you this is something all its own. For 55% off AND free shipping on 3+ bottles?!?! It’s a no-brainer! Get 6, get 12…just don’t miss this one!

About the Producer

Since 1995, Luna has been a staple of Napa Valley winemaking. The foundation for this property was laid by legendary winemaker and renaissance man, John Kongsgaard, who helped guide these wines to greatness. The founders instantly recognized the magic and the amazing potential of its estate vineyard, perfectly located along the Silverado Trail. They bought the property and followed their dream, building a winery that paid tribute to the varietals that set Napa Valley apart with a focus on Italian varietals. These days, the brand has been rediscovered and spans the Atlantic to Italy. The wines are truly sensational, with new excitement behind the winemaking teams in Italy and Napa Valley.

The 2018 Red Blend Adagio checks in as 50% Cabernet Sauvignon, 22% Merlot, 14% Malbec, and the rest Cabernet Franc and Petit Verdot. Ripe blackberries, black cherries, new leather, resinous herbs, and spring flower notes give way to a beautifully textured, medium to full-bodied red offering ripe, silky tannins, a fleshy, opulent mouthfeel, and a great finish. It's going to keep for 10-15 years as well.
