We just love having Emmolo’s beautiful bottle on the table looking charming and intricate, hinting at the care and history behind the wine.

Emmolo is led by Jenny Wagner, daughter of Cheryl and Chuck Wagner of the legendary Caymus Vineyards, and named for her mother’s Italian family. The Emmolos were longtime Napa Valley farmers. Cheryl didn’t have brothers, and she wanted to keep her family name alive.

This traditionally made sparkling is 62% Chardonnay and 38% Pinot Noir, sourced from highly regarded vineyards from Sonoma’s Occidental area down to the Santa Maria Valley and into the Santa Lucia Highlands – all selected for their naturally bright acidity.

The bubbles are exuberant! And the flavors an a riot of white flowers, apple cider, almond biscotti, cherry, nectarine, and zingy Meyer lemon.

Produced as a non-vintage blend, the base wines are fermented in stainless steel and French oak, then aged an impressive 41 months on the lees, far exceeding the minimum for non-vintage Champagne.

Open this when you’re feeling sentimental or luxurious or both!

About the Producer

Emmolo Wines traces its roots to the Emmolo family, longtime Napa Valley grape growers whose patriarch, Salvatore Emmolo, emigrated from Sicily in the 1920s and established a respected grapevine nursery that supplied vineyards throughout the region. The Emmolo wine brand itself was founded in 1994 by Cheryl Emmolo Wagner as a way to honor her family heritage through small-lot wines. Today, her daughter Jenny Wagner is at the helm. The Wanger family is best known for their much loved Caymus wines. Emmolo brings together generations of Emmolo family viticultural history and Wagner winemaking expertise.
