Our tasting group got all giddy with one sip of this beauty. SO much to love about this deep purple warhead of power and perfectly ripe red berries – all complemented with brightness and elegance. Aromas of wildflowers, peaches, plums, and red cherries, unified by well-judged acidity and tremendous balance in one of our favorite go-tos for anytime drinking!

Designated as Superiore DOC, this Barbera d'Alba is grown just outside Barolo village, on steeply sloped plots with sandy marl and clay soils. The vines are grown in the prestigious Ravera Cru, adjacent to the winery (and some of their top Barolo material). This medium-bodied red wine is aged in once-used French oak barrels for 12 months, following a judicious fruit-thinning throughout the growing season. The result? A lovely, versatile, and complex wine that will continue to age gracefully, provided you can resist drinking it now (not sure that we can...but “restraint” was never our strong suit)!
