It’s BACK! The much-beloved Nunzi Conti, an Invino favorite for years now, is better than ever and bringing out the goods – RISERVA – the best lots, aged for longer in barrel, still MASSIVELY over-delivering for UNDER $25!

We bought every bottle we could for you of this tiny production, a classic Tuscan bottle of joy. A better bottle of Chianti will not be had, at any price! This is the real deal, incredibly classic, mouth-watering, and priced to bring a tear to your eye. DO. NOT. MISS! Man, we love this label. We love the wine, too, of course, and the Nunzi family’s beautiful Tuscan dream farm – a magical postcard image of Italian wine country straight from your dreams (watch out for the goats, pigs, chickens, and more). The CELLAR – seriously, it dates back to the 1400s! Just a fantastic little find – truly amazing.

BUT – the wine! Chianti, if you’ve been paying attention, is hotter than ever and making HUGE qualitative strides in recent years. Purely bright, clean, and sappy sangiovese fruit, the ‘17 is a classic – singing with fresh-crushed cranberry, balsamic, baked cherries, spicy cedar and forest floor notes, black pepper, black truffles...wow! This is the liquid equivalent of warm Tuscan sunshine. It’s that good. At over 40% OFF, you do not want to miss this!

Fun Facts About the Black Rooster: The rooster on the neck of a Chianti bottle is the distinguishing mark that the wine was produced in the Chianti Classico region. The story begins during the middle ages, after years of a bloody war between the republics of Florence and Siena over control of the Chianti region. One knight was chosen from each side to ride the main road, heading out from their respective cities at the first crowing of the rooster. Where they met would be where the boundary was drawn. The Sienese chose to be woken by a white rooster that they pampered and fed well, while the Florentines chose a black rooster, half-starved and ornery. The Florentine’s rooster crowed well before, dawn and, as such, their knight got a serious head start. He met the Sienese knight just outside of the town of Siena, and the Florentines controlled a huge amount of land as a result. The black rooster was never hungry after that and has stuck as the symbol of Chianti Classico ever since.
