Chateau Beauregard Ducasse Red Graves 2020
Proprietary Blends | France
Bordeaux, Baby! This hilltop estate in Graves is a longstanding favorite of ours for their killer Graves Blanc. We recently tasted the Graves Rouge and were BLOWN AWAY! At 50% OFF, this is a top-notch, drink-all-the-time Bordeaux red to stock up on!
Château Beauregard Ducasse was established by Albert Duran in 1850 in Mazères on the southern edge of the Graves appellation. Situated atop a 113-meter hill, this estate is the highest in all of Graves – with this red benefitting from the additional sunshine and increased ripening that results from such an exposure. The terroir here is marked by its complexity: gravel, sand, and iron layered within a predominant clay-limestone soil.
A blend of 60% merlot and 40% cabernet sauvignon – with the cabernet sauvignon providing structure and deep berry flavors, while the merlot brings perfumed aromatics and suppleness to the palate. The wine leads with notes of violets and lilacs, followed by fresh sensations of cranberries and raspberries, toasted peppercorns, roasted herbs, and mineral edges of graphite and asphalt. The palate showcases a juicy core of red fruits, coupled with a balanced and creamy weight across the tongue. Plenty of length on the finish, making this an exceptional Bordeaux value! This outshines many bottles at more than twice the price! Just wait until you see the savings we have in store for you today!
