Beringer! Arguably Napa’s most historic winery, they’ve been crafting some spectacular wines for nearly 150 years at their Saint Helena estate. From just up the road in Knights Valley, this 95 point, 100% cabernet sauvignon showcases the continued excellence of this iconic winery. We’ve got it just for you, at nearly 50% OFF! Just wait until you see this price!

Located in the gorgeously remote and bucolic valley off the backside of Mount St. Helena, Knights Valley is home to rocky, alluvial soils where ancient rivers once ran. Warm days and cool nights allow this well-draining site to produce bold and richly structured reds, like this. This 2019 Knights Valley Reserve abounds with aromas of ripe boysenberry and black cherry, with notes of white sage, lavender, and Earl Grey tea. The palate is supremely fresh and balanced, highlighting flavors of blackberries, crème de cassis, Tahitian vanilla, clove, and cinnamon. The densely rich and dark fruit profile is beautifully integrated with velvety rich textures and fine-grained tannins – leading to a precise, voluptuous, and long finish. 95 POINTS, people!

Selected from a single plot on their Knight’s Valley Estate, the plot is rigorously fractured into varied lots, all individually picked, fermented, and aged to become the palette for this wine. Over the 18 months in 74% new French barrels from Nevers in Northern France, the best of the best barrels are chosen and blended to make this reserve cabernet sauvignon. This is a remarkable value that will easily compete with Napa cabernets at three times the price. Throw in the spectacular vintage that is 2019, with the historic consistency of quality from this iconic producer, and you have a recipe for success that will last for decades! That assumes your restraint is better than our own, of course. But the price! Get ready to be blown away!

95 James Suckling -
Aromas of black tea, blackberry and tobacco leaf. Full-bodied with velvety, slightly tense tannins. Lovely black-fruited palate with dried-flower and herb character. Roses, violets and sage. Nicely balanced and long. Lovely density in the center-palate. Best after 2025.
93 Robert Parker's Wine Advocate -
Beringer's 2019 Cabernet Sauvignon Reserve Knights Valley starts off life as a block selection from the huge vineyard's rockiest parcel, then gets trimmed down further in the winery by winnowing out lots and barrels that don't quite make the cut. The result is a wine that boasts lovely Cabernet florals and pretty cassis fruit. It's bigger, richer and fuller-bodied than the regular KV bottling, more concentrated, but also smoother, silkier and longer on the finish. The affordable price tag and widespread availability (5,717 cases produced) should make this a steakhouse staple.
93 International Wine Report -
The 2019 Knights Valley Reserve Cabernet begins with expressive aromas of dark currants and black cherries which are laced with tobacco, dried earth, spices, florals and a sweet toasted oak oak character all developing in the glass. On the palate this possesses wonderful full-bodied richness, with a gorgeous plush texture backed by layers of delicious ripe dark fruit that expand through the supple finish. While this Cabernet is a pleasure to approach early on, it also displays the potential to age beautifully.
92 Vinous -
The 2019 Cabernet Sauvignon Knights Valley Reserve emerges from a plot on the southern edge of the ranch, where soils are quite rocky. Inky, deep and full of richness, the Reserve has a lot to offer. Blueberry jam, chocolate, spice, licorice, gravel and menthol are all kicked up in this voluptuous Knights Valley Cabernet Sauvignon.
