Dievole has been making wine in the picturesque, rolling hills of Tuscany for OVER 900 YEARS! So yeah, they’ve seen a thing or two. This is a classic Chianti that is perfectly aged and ready for your enjoyment. At the crazy discount price of a mere $11.95...find out why Rober Parker’s Wine Advocate called this one of the top “Value Wines of the Year”.

We get it, it's called “The Old World” for a reason...but a 932-year-old winery? That just boggles the mind. Tucked away in the perfect little Tuscan village of Vagliagli, the Dievole estate was originally purchased for the unimaginable price of two capons, three loaves of bread, and 6 silver Lucca denari (the equivalent of about $10 today!) for the sprawling 600-hectare site. Can you even imagine? Given their long history and pristine location for world-class grape growing, the quality of these wines does not surprise us...but the value?!?! These wines compete with other Chianti Classico’s at three times the price!

The 2014 Dievole Chianti Classico is a delicate garnet color with light bricking on the edges. Savory aromatic notes of supple leather, dried violets, red cherries, portabella mushrooms, and roasted fennel turn to white pepper, baked strawberries,  and dried cherries – accented by hints of olive, bay laurel, and sandalwood. This 90 POINT beauty is remarkably fresh and vibrant for a nearly decade old! The finish is seemingly endless, with a delicate minerality and fully integrated tannins. Your charcuterie platter needs this! At nearly 50% off, this is a treat that shouldn’t be missed!

90 Wine Spectator -
The cherry and earth flavors are accented by hints of chocolate, leather, tobacco and spice, allied to a round profile. This is fluid, yet shows a firm structure. Finishes long. Drink now.
