Xavier Vignon, the mad genius of the Rhone, is back with this 96-POINTER for only $22! TWENTY-TWO DOLLARS! If you know Xavier’s wines...you know what a steal this is!

“...another unique wine from this incredible winemaker.” – Jeb Dunnuck

That about sums it up. This is champagne-style, multi-vintage blending at its finest…with five of the very best vintages hand-picked from the last two decades, all from ten different terroirs of Southern Rhone’s top sites (a lot of which are Châteauneuf-du-Pape), including fifteen separate variations of grenache (rootstocks, clones, you name it…)!

Built with pure power and tremendous polish, the wine is an intensely striking homage to the grenache grape. He has literally dozens of the top Chateauneuf producers as clients, and the lucky consulting winemaker gets his pick of the lots to make his own cuvees, like this one. If you love old-vine grenache (plus 5% each mourvèdre, syrah, and caladoc) made in the modern Chateauneuf-du-Pape style, then this is the wine for you. Lavender, cherries, kirsch, spice cake, toasted peppercorn, sweet herbs grilled over oak, a touch of cigar box, this just won’t stop! This is exuberant and intense yet balanced with creamy, silky textures that coat the mouth, grab the tongue, and just go on forever. At this price, you don’t want to miss out. While it lasts!

The NV Vin de France Arcane Le Fou is another unique wine from this incredible winemaker. This cuvée focuses on different clones of Grenache as well as just about every permitted variety out there (although it’s 85% Grenache). It has a big, sweet nose of blueberries, black cherries, lavender, and peppery incense as well as a full-bodied, layered, powerful yet seamless style on the palate. With no hard edges, silky tannins, and a big finish, it’s a singular wine (it’s mostly from vines in Châteauneuf Du Pape) to enjoy over the coming 10-15 years.
