SPECIAL: GROUND SHIPPING INCLUDED ON ORDERS OF 4 BOTTLES OR MORE!

The much-loved Ginglinger-Fix new releases are here! We’ve said this before, but you know, if you want the best sushi on Earth, you go to Japan. Not Macedonia or Morocco or Maplewood, Minnesota. And if you drink gewurztraminer, you drink it from Alsace. Period! Say it with us! With joy and gusto: guh-VOORTS-truh-MEE-nur!

The gewurztraminer, from the Grand Cru Hatschbourg vineyard, is a total 150% knockout. This Grand Cru has a very ancient reputation among connoisseurs and is made up of deep marl-limestone soils which are perfect soils for gewurztraminer. This site boasts wines of intense aromatics with great aging potential, and you can sense that the moment you pop the cork on this beauty.

We met this tiny, family-owned and run producer in France (since 1610!!) earlier this year and we can't get enough! Ginglinger-Fix, located in the Alsace region of France, is a family-owned winery founded in 1610. They produce a range of Alsatian varietals, some of which are Grand Cru or late harvest...but let’s talk about this wine!!

When drinking gewurz at this level, it’s time to talk about lychee (litchi, depending where you are) – this wine explodes with lychee fruit, fresh peeled and the kind in cans or glass, wonderfully fragrant and exotic, and mango and starfruit, too, citrus oils….wow! The spices range from musk to cardamom, and in addition to the lychee fruit, is super-aromatic with white flowers and rose petal, sort of masculine and feminine all at once, and particularly so in the amazingly great 2019 vintage. Fresh, lightly sweet, minerally and thrilling! Complex and straight up EXCITING to drink - a refreshing (literally!) change from the norm.
