Makana Cabernet Franc Diamond Mountain District 2015

Makana is a tiny producer here in the Valley made by longtime local consulting winemaker John Gibson. This one is an aromatic dream team - coffee grounds, dried blackberry, herby notes like sage and bay leaf and a whisper of barrel char. The age shines bright on the mouthfeel with elegance, more herbs, lifted fruit with some figs and tea leaves. Pull the cork on this puppy and drink it up. The vintage is showing perfectly right now, but could easily age for another 4-5 years.

Ultra-limited, as you might guess... We literally have 245 bottles after we all took home a few for ourselves! What a price for this rarity! While it lasts…!
