Did you know? In the early 80s, famed actor and comedian, Robin Williams, engaged Brian Nuss and his brother to build a house on his ranch on Mt. Veeder in Napa County. After its completion, Brian and his wife, Lori, were asked to stay on and manage the estate. Years later, Williams commissioned a vineyard installation on the property. Brian teamed with acclaimed Napa vintner, Robert Craig, and others to plan and plant two vineyards on the ranch. Craig used that fruit in his wine lineup for years before encouraging the Nuss family to start their own label using the grapes of Robin Williams. Vinoce Vineyards then was born. The name pays tribute to Brian's heritage by combining the Italian words "vino" and "nocce". The translation is "wine nut". The Nuss' are pure class and some of our favorite people in the Napa Valley. We lost a great human when Brian's wife Lori passed away during the spring of this vintage, so this is a particularly special wine for Vinoce.

Vinoce is now a towering success story, and they have added Oakville to their holdings. 2016, of course, was a fantastic Napa vintage, as you’ll know the moment you taste this blockbuster.
