Ram's Gate Cabernet Sauvignon Winemaker's Cuvee Moon Mountain 2016

How do we do it? We have to ask sometimes…2016 vintage (a great one), Moon Mountain appellation, normally $85….all we can say is, if you love cabernet as much as we do, JUMP on this one!

When wineries have a little extra and want to move on to their next vintage, we often get a call (woo hoo!). Thus this incredible buy on the lush, serious Ram’s Gate Winemaker's Cuvee, generally only sold at the winery directly. When tourism lagged in the middle of the pandemic, this unbelievable opportunity presented itself. Given how fast you all swooped up the Hyde syrah, I would imagine this cab deal will not last long.

This was made by none other than Jeff Gaffner, a Sonoma winemaking prodigy and the mind behind such coveted labels as Saxon Brown and Black Kite. All that aside -- the wine is hyper-delish (especially at this price!!) and flowing with blackcurrant, cassis, black cherry, spiced crust, tobacco leaf and a bit of loamy earth – just fantastic!

We simply DON’T see cabernet priced like this…as you can imagine, there’s just a handful, so first come, first served…!
