Coloma Evandria Sinfonia de Blancos 2020
Other Whites | Spain
As many of you who’ve had this lovely wine know, this is meticulously crafted by the talented Amelia Coloma, and is a blend of two rare indigenous varietals, Alarije and Cayetana. The winery compares it to sauvignon blanc with its freshness and lower alcohol (12.5%), and we think of it as an exotic version, with richness and creamy stone fruits, and a powerful, flowery perfume. What we’re saying is -- it’s DELICIOUS, immensely drinkable, perfect with all kinds of foods, and a rare treat that is difficult to find elsewhere! With the weather warming up, we’re thinking of enjoying more outdoor concerts and picnics - this bottle would be the perfect accompaniment!
Extremadura! Hot, arid and dry, it is a rather “extreme” place for grape growing (and one of the sunniest places in all of Europe), and that’s what makes a lot of the wines here so exceptional. For a deeper dive on the region, read this if you like...it makes us want to jump on a plane to Madrid!
Just down to a handful of cases! Get it while you can…!
