Yount Ridge Sauvignon Blanc Napa Valley 2017
Sauvignon Blanc | US
Celia, of course, crafts the $300, $900, $1200 Scarecrow wines, and works with smaller, much-loved wineries, plus makes her own blockbusters under her label CORRA, and is generally one of THE most respected winemakers in our verdant and wine-soaked Valley. She made the high-scoring Yount Ridge wines until the recent passing of the owner. It is perfectly located in the southern part of the Oakville appellation (bordering Highway 29) in a coveted vineyard neighborhood – the property is located next to Cardinale, across from Far Niente and near the Morlet Family-owned Coeur de Vallée Vineyard, among others...Dominus, Beckstoffer’s Missouri Hopper, Vine Hill, Paradigm, and many more.
We’d take this up a few points, honestly…the wine is PERFECT right now, with richness and creamy texture backing up all the snappy stone fruit, baked apple, crisp Bosc pear, lemon curd and kiwi flavors…absolutely packed and delicious. At $18.95, this is definitely in “no-brainer” territory! While it lasts…!
