FUN FACT FRIDAY: Cotes de Bordeaux is a newer AOC created in 2009, with the union of four regions - Cotes de Blaye, Cotes de Castillon, Cotes de Francs, and Cotes de Cadillac. Today's offer should be your daily-drinker, especially at such an AMAZING price!! How could you go wrong?!

Chateau Le Doyenne is owned by Marie-Dominique and Jean Watrin, whose daughter, Lorraine, is known for her work at Chateau Montrose. They’ve put in all efforts in rebuilding this historic property, which dates back to 1791. Michel Rolland was also brought in to take the winery to a new level, and in the excellent 2018 vintage, this is one of the true sleepers of the vintage!!

We're getting potent notes of black currrants, wild blueberrries, cassis (now craving a Kir Royal on this lovely Friday), intermingled with notes of sweet tobacco, chocolate, soft vanilla, and clove. Super easy to drink!!

As noted, we don’t have enough -- grab a 6-pack (free ground shipping!) as quick as you can!!

92 Wine Enthusiast -
Cellar Selection: With oenologue Michel Rolland's team behind this estate, it is not surprising that this wine is rich while also structured and perfumed. Wood aging gives a final polish to a full, generous and ageworthy wine. Drink from 2023.
90 James Suckling -
This has a fruity nose of currants and blackberries. Some wet leaves, cloves and mushrooms, too. It’s medium-bodied with firm, fine tannins. Balanced and juicy. Better from 2022.
