If you love the deep cherry and raspberry brilliance that is Grenache (Garnacha in Spain) -- LOAD UP at our price today! You’ll want to drink this with everything and a fine match for the Thanksgiving table.
Navascués is a third-generation family of winemakers from Aragon, Spain, that are very traditional in their style, and very in-demand consultants across the country. Jorge makes wines for the venerable Contino winery in Rioja and has been dubbed a "genius" by MW Jancis Robinson. “I aim for pure, direct expressions of origin, expressing regional virtues.” – Jorge Navascués. The region of Carinena, Jorge's home town is termed as the birthplace of Garnacha, so the juice of Garnacha runs in his blood. The winemaking culture dates back to the 15th century and is the second oldest region in Spain.
Grenache is one of those grapes (you may also know it best as the main grape of Chateauneuf-du-Pape) that’s impossible to not fall in love with. Juicy, but sophisticated, this bottling from the Carinena region is flowing with red fruits, licorice and spices, and has a wonderful crunchy minerality to it as well and a freshness that keeps it alive and kicking. Back up the truck -- while it lasts!
