About the Producer

Joseph Ryan is a humble and exceptionally talented winemaker, who cut his teeth at places like Flowers and Alysian. He makes site specific, terroir transparent wines that are light on extraction and alcohol, but heavy on flavor: “I work with the grapes as opposed to trying to make them work for me.”That comes through in the glass with nuanced, thought-provoking, and elegant wines.

92 Robert Parker's Wine Advocate -
The 2016 Pinot Noir Romanini Vineyard The Engineer has a very pretty nose of violet and lilac with autumn leaves, dusty earth, fresh tobacco and savory red fruits. Medium-bodied with nuanced red and blue fruits and earthy notions in the mouth, it's softly textured with grainy tannins and finishes minerally.
91 James Suckling -
This has a very plush, polished and settled feel from the outset with ripe blueberries and red plums, delivered in a very punchy, vibrant and open-knit palate. Drink now.
