Luna Cabernet Sauvignon Howell Mountain 2016
Cabernet Blends | US
That $45 price (normally $120!) is not a typo -- it’s just the kind of thing we like to do whenever the opportunity arises…and it has, BIG time, today.
We mentioned the 92 POINTS already (when you drink it you will think “more like 95"). This is classic Howell Mountain power, with rich bold structure, deep black and blue fruits, opulently textured French oak, dark perfume, lavender and licorice, with all the brawniness of mountain-grown cabernet. So instantly impression-making, you will wonder how it’s possible to buy at a price like this. That’s a good reason to stash a few in the back of the cellar, too -- it will age effortlessly for another decade!
As noted, we scored just a tiny batch…please act quick via the website to snag a few!
About the Producer
Since 1995, Luna has been a staple of Napa Valley winemaking. The foundation for this property was laid by legendary winemaker and renaissance man, John Kongsgaard, who helped guide these wines to greatness. The founders instantly recognized the magic and the amazing potential of its estate vineyard, perfectly located along the Silverado Trail. They bought the property and followed their dream, building a winery that paid tribute to the varietals that set Napa Valley apart with a focus on Italian varietals.
