With their Brunello di Montalcino getting all the big press, get in on the simply perfect, delicious "baby Brunello" while you wait. The 2019 vintage is shaping up to be an epic vintage approaching the level of the "once in a generation" 2016s. We promise this will satiate all of your sangiovese dreams – the bright red Marasca cherries, cool plums, ripe and flowing across the palate with excellent freshness and balance (a hallmark of the ‘19 vintage), and finishing with floral and clove-y spices, a touch of mint, a dash of citrus...just amazingly delicious.

We have direct-imported Tenuta Buon Tempo for years now, and today is the day to stock up on what you’ll be drinking all through the fall!! Sangiovese lovers, Tuscany lovers, just plain wine lovers – get ready to gobble up this Italian goodness while it lasts. We certainly are!

About the Producer

Since the early 1920s, Tenuta Buon Tempo has occupied an estate located in the far south of the territory of Montalcino, near Castelnuovo dell’Abate, in an area with a particular vocation of winegrowing (it’s the warmer side). The winery stretches for 28 hectares, 14 of which are cultivated as vineyards. The company name aims to highlight the pleasant peace and quiet that characterize this splendid valley - Buon Tempo being the Italian translation for “good time”.

92 Raffaele Vecchione, WinesCritic.com -
Chameleon and essential, it shows precise and sensual notes of rose petals, geraniums, hibiscus, lavender and passion flower. There is more to the background in the nuances of lemon peel and chopped lime. Medium body, extremely smooth tannins and an irrepressible beauty finish. Drink now.
90 Wine Enthusiast -
Aromas of red-skinned berry, forest floor and leather emerge from the glass. The juicy palate exhibits raspberry jam, cinnamon and white pepper alongside polished tannins. Drink through 2026.
