Champagne Soutiran Signature Grand Cru NV
Proprietary Blends | France
Normally $90! We threw in free shipping on 3 or more to boot! To quote the song: “Celebrate, good times, c’mon!”
Wine Advocate 91+ points! Grand Cru bubbly like this does NOT come around the Invino Napa warehouse often enough. If you love the bold, bread-fresh-out-of-the-oven, toasty, gingery style, you will FLIP for Soutiran. A blend of Chardonnay (60%) and Pinot Noir (40%) based on the 2013/2014 vintages, this is SINGING right now. Not a lot to go around…
As noted above (we are drinking a glass as we type this, yay!) toasty, ultra-fresh, crisp with stone fruits and tangy citrus...complete and delicious! GRAND CRU! At this price! While it lasts!
About the Producer
In 1936, Gerard Soutiran left his military career to return to viticulture, which he had grown up learning. He took over the vines of his former mentor and soon extended his land. The 1950s became the first vintage with the Soutiran name on the bottle. Champagne Soutiran is a family-owned domaine based in the Grand Cru village of Ambonnay. Patrick and Valerie Renaux, who represent the domain's third generation, cultivate 8 hectares of vineyards dedicated to Pinot Noir and Chardonnay. In Ambonnay, the chalk-laden soils of the region are complemented by a higher degree of siliceous clay, which results in Champagnes that are often equipped with a more formidable structure than wines from other Grand Cru sites.
