Marine Descombe runs her family winery and bottling business at Vins Descombe in Brouilly. Started by her grandfather in 1905, Marine heads up all aspects of the winery. She has made remarkable progress with the domaine's 30 hectares under vine with the HVE sustainable farming certificate. Her Beaujolais-Villages is famed for its high-altitude hillside vineyards, planted on granite soils which leads to elegant, lovely and complex Gamay at an amazing price.
Cranberry, red cherry, purple berries, giant bunches of fresh flowers, perfume and incense! So much going on, with its fresh lip-smacking acidity, rich flavors but elegant feel. Weight-wise, it’s similar to Pinot Noir with much more concentration and exuberance.
ASTOUNDINGLY good at $13!! Wow again! While it lasts!
