Can I have one more sip, please? 93 points and under $30, this stuff is exceptional, only in this part of the world do values like this exist. This region has a 2,600 year history of vine cultivation and has only been explored in the last ten years. Quality and creativity are two elements that winemakers in the Languedoc pride themselves on. The wines produced from this dynamite female winemaker and crew are exquisite. Sommeliers get very excited about the wines that are grown near the Montagne Noire because they are pure-fruited, with layered and complex personalities that do not sacrifice perfume and mineral freshness. Here is the kind of Languedoc that keeps you interested until the very last drop and makes you think seriously about ordering a second bottle. Finesse and freshness, intensity without heaviness...

93 Jeb Dunnuck -
Another terrific wine from this estate, the 2015 Minervois Roc du Pière comes from the rockiest part of the estate, located outside the village of Cesseras, in the lieu-dit of Fauzan. It’s a blend of 80% Syrah and 20% Mourvèdre brought up in foudre and two 600-liter French oak demi-muids. Blackberries, pepper, hints of herbs and some minerality as well as a pretty floral lift, all emerge from this medium-bodied, Minervois. Seamless and impeccably balanced, with silky tannins, this beautiful, elegant red will keep for at least 5-6 years.
