House of Brown Rosé Lodi 2022
Proprietary Blend | US
House of Brown’s orange blossom explosion of a rosé scored Double Gold, Best In Class, and 97 points at Sunset Magazine’s international competition.
It’s 2026… should you order a 2022 rosé? Yes! As the reviewer at Wine Enthusiast said in her 91 point review, “... it is nice to enjoy a rosé with more depth and expression. I am a big advocate for the aged rosé. This one doesn't disappoint: fresh lively aromas of strawberry, raspberry, and Seville orange, and notes of white pepper and dried herbs…”
We’ll add: zippy layers of grapefruit and luscious yellow peach infused with jasmine blossom and a quenching, perfectly salty, lemon-lime tang. Vibey, fruity, floral, succulent, and generous! For this price, we don’t think you can do better.
This potion is 75% Zinfandel, 20% Muscat Blanc, and 5% Viognier, all from vineyards in sun-drenched Lodi, California. It was crafted by Susy Vasquez and Coral Brown, whose parents founded the esteemed Brown Estate, Napa Valley’s first Black-owned winery. The House project makes the Browns’ work accessible to a wider audience at a nice price, while maintaining their usual parameters: regeneratively farmed, certified sustainable, vegan-friendly, and extravagantly flavorful.
About the Producer
In 1980, Dr. Bassett and Marcela Brown purchased 450 acres in Napa's Chiles Valley as a weekend retreat, planting grapes they sold to other wineries for a decade. In 1995, their children Deneen, David, and Coral founded Brown Estate, and a year later bottled their first vintage of Zinfandel, making it Napa Valley's first and only Black-owned estate winery. House of Brown arrived a generation later, born out of a different kind of vision. Established in 2018 to expand access to the Brown wine experience, the label was inspired by the extraordinarily diverse community of wine lovers who had been gathering around Brown Estate for two decades.Produced with the same commitment to purity and balance that is foundational to Brown Estate, the wines are regeneratively farmed, certified sustainable, and vegan-friendly!
