Decanter called the 2022 “highly aromatic” with “silky, satiny tannins and a noble texture.” The nose is indeed gorgeous – a seductive scent of violets, lilacs, and crème de cassis. It only gets better on the palate, which is unapologetically elegant, lashed with blackberries, black cherries, cedar, and a freshness that feels like a morning walk in a misty forest. This is massive, yet so intricately layered and complex.
