Champagne Chaudron Grande Réserve Brut NV
Champagne Blends | France
We are down to our last cases of Champagne Chaudron's luscious Grande Réserve Brut. Graduations, weddings, warm nights – ‘tis the season to have sparkling in the fridge at all times. Snap up this occasion-worthy bottle while we still have some.
The hills of Montagne de Reims have been Chaudron’s home since 1867, and seventh-generation vigneron Luc Chaudron is keeping the tradition vibrant. This Grande Réserve Brut is bursting with the beauty of three classic Champagne grapes: 36% Chardonnay, 35% Pinot Meunier, and 29% Pinot Noir. Luc incorporated 30% reserve wines from previous vintages for extra richness. This is proper artisan Champagne.
The nose opens with flaky saltine crackers, quince paste, and crème brûlée. The palate is a rush of apple blossom, tart lemon, and sweet-tangy kumquat. Refined, vigorous bubbles rush up as salty sea spray tingles the tongue. Bracing and dreamy all at once!
Speaking of force and finesse, Luc's ancestor Hélène, who devoted her life to winemaking and lived to the grand age of 102, claimed that Champagne was the secret to her vitality. We're not doctors, but we do know you should always have a little magic in your life. Three or more bottles and delivery's included. Santé!
