Domaine Giraud Chateaunuef-du-Pape Tradition 2017
Rhone Blends | France
"With the assistance of the brilliant Philippe Cambie, the wines have soared in quality, and Domaine Giraud is now one of the more exciting domaines in Chateauneuf du Pape.” - Robert Parker Jr.
A 94 and three 93-point scores! We’re not surprised here at the Napa office, this producer crushes it year after year, and we totally agree with the sentiments of Jeb Dunnuck: “I loved the 2017 Châteauneuf Du Pape, and I’d certainly be happy with a case in the cellar.” AT THIS PRICE? Oh yes! A blend from the Southern part of the appellation, with its red clay and "galets" (large round stones). These old vines deliver the goods, ranging in age from 50-80 years old.
Domaine Giraud (est. 1974) is under the stewardship of brother-sister team François and Marie Giraud taking over the primary roles from their mother and father. François handles the vineyards and Marie oversees the winemaking with consulting help from the Philippe Cambie. Committed to organic farming since 2011, the winery continues to make some of the most exciting wines in their history!
Gorgeous stuff! Read all the reviews by clicking the 'Buy Now' button below, but know one thing...this is fantastic with so much pure, ripe, bold Grenache flavors, it really is a stunning value! ONLY 25 CASES! While it lasts!
